Fancy Tangyuan made by Ouyang Qinyun in rich colors and unique shapes

Ouyang Qinyun used to be a fashion designer, but now her main hobby is making fancy steamed buns. She thought that if steamed buns could be made in a variety of ways, then so could Tangyuan.

Ouyang Qinyun tried her hand at styling Tangyuan. Soon, a series of adorable Tangyuan are created: a baby rabbit holding a carrot, a silly little cow, a pink pig, a Pikachu, a golden ingot... they were both good-looking and delicious!

She posted her Tangyuan on her Tiktok account (“Ouyang’s Steamed Bun Life”), and her fans from all over the country were impressed, “How lovely her Tangyuan is, my own Tangyuan is only a boring white fat...” and “Chongqing girls are so handy. They not only know how to cook, they can make it too!”

Ouyang Qinyun said that making Tangyuan is actually easier than making steamed buns. 

Qinyun has also instructed a large group of children to learn how to make Tangyuan. “These children are very creative and they make Tangyuan like playdough, with bold color schemes and shapes. For example, wings can grow on a person’s head, and a white polar bear can grow a black beard...”
