CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On March 1, the opening ceremony of the 6th Chongqing Sports Meet was held in Yongchuan Sports Stadium, which marked the opening of the 6th Chongqing Sports Meet and the fierce competition. It will last for three months, starting from March 1 to May 29, with two sections: competition events and performance events. The competition events will be divided into the adult group and the youth group, with a total of 41 major events such as track and field, swimming, diving, rhythmic gymnastics and 888 minor events. All districts, counties, industry systems and units will participate in the competition as teams, and the total number of athletes is expected to reach more than 20,000.

The Sports Meet will last for three months.

Affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, the 6th Chongqing Sports Meet, originally scheduled for April to September 2020, has been postponed to the first half of this year. It is the highest standard, the highest level, the largest comprehensive sport meet of our city.
