Cool! Practical drill of Chongqing SWAT officers

2021-03-18 15:47:32

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- It is a great time to practice in spring! On March 16, an actual drill for SWAT officers was staged on the training ground of the SWAT Headquarters of Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau. In the drill, the male police officers of Chongqing were confronted with each other and the high altitude rappelling, soaring to the sky and killing the enemy in one blow; the female police officers were doing tactical firing and teamwork, hitting the target every time without a miss; the rookies were armed with weights to advance their physical ability, and they were full of vigor and courage!

Members of Chongqing SWAT Force have created their own boxing style, which combines martial arts, wrestling, boxing, sparring and unarmed control techniques, and is a “unique technique” to overcome the enemy in their daily work.

SWAT officers’ movements are standardized and swift, with “straight punches and kicks”, “dodging combinations”, and “takedowns”...... Each move was skillful and powerful.

In a practical environment, SWAT Force members are expected to conduct silent operations by silently transmitting specific information through specific sign languages, gestures, physical movements and facial expressions to command operations.

Climbing and rappelling is a compulsory course for every SWAT officer. This SWAT officer was like “Spider-Man”, flying up the walls, along the water pipes and window sills to the top floor, and then using the rappel to descend from the top of the building to the designated location, with agile movements, as light as a bird.

The officers simulated actual training scenarios such as hostage-taking, and practiced their skills and abilities to complete diversified emergency and dangerous tasks.

The 200kg tyre was lifted with their bare hands, which was a regular part of the training for the SWAT Force. In daily training, 10km cross-country is “breakfast”, climbing and rappelling is “afternoon tea” and push-up competitions are “goodnight songs”.

Running with additional weights and listing tyres with bare hands... Professional and rigorous physical training is the basis for SWAT officers to remain stable and perform well in harsh environments.

On the firing range, the officers shot through standing, prone and kneeling positions, using cover and rapid methods, and the fallen targets showed the superb marksmanship of the SWAT officers.

Inside the training hall, practical skills such as sparring confrontation, judo and releasing control were taking turns, and unarmed training for SWAT officers was underway. As a team with a sharp edge in maintaining stability and dealing with emergencies, it is often the key to victory when the enemy is beaten in a short period of time.

Straight swing hook combinations, kneeling pressure control, arm locks... The SWAT officers trained project by project and were in high energy. Numerous rappelling, shooting exercises, running with weight... Such “devil” training has enhanced the tactical level of the SWAT Force and has also brought a sense of security to the general public.
