CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to Chongqing Daily, the land of Bayu in March is in a riot of colors with fallen flowers. On the afternoon of March 18, 2021, 2021 Chongqing Spring Tourism Press Conference was held in Dianjiang County. Around the theme of “So Near and So Beautiful, Chongqing People Visit Chongqing”, Chongqing Municipality has launched nearly 80 flower appreciation sites and more than 150 cultural tourism activities in spring to meet the needs of citizens and tourists in spring.

Flower appreciation tour, has been the biggest highlight of Chongqing spring tourism. At the press conference, the municipal cultural tourism commission launched nearly 80 flower appreciation sites, covering peony, tulip, rose, cherry blossom, rape flower, plum, pear flower, peach flower and so on.

Citizens who enjoy peony, tulip and cherry blossom can go to Taisiya Forest Park in Shapingba District, Huayu Youyougu Rose Island in the West Suburb of Tongliang District, Kaizhi Peak and Peony Cherry World in Dianjiang District, and Jinfo Mountain in Nanchuan District. In addition, people can go to Guangyang Isle, Tongnan Chongkan Chen Tuan’s Hometown, and Pingba Village, Zhongyi Township, Shizhu to appreciate rape flowers. To appreciate plum flowers, tourists can go to Ganyuan Village, Quchi Township, Wushan County; Plum Flower Ecological Tourism Area at Yinhe Village, Tongjing Town, Yubei District; Zhongtang Town, Qianjiang District; and Heba Village, Yandong Township, Pengshui County. To appreciate tulip, tourists can go to Changshou Lake, Peony Cherry World in Dianjiang District, Chongqing Nanshan Botanical Garden and Taisiya Forest Park in Shapingba District.

It is introduced that in order to improve the experience of flower appreciation, districts and counties of Chongqing also launched more than 150 spring characteristic cultural tourism theme activities, covering a variety of forms such as flowers appreciation and outing, folk culture festivals, painting and calligraphy, presenting wonderful folk festival activities, obvious characteristics of districts and counties, various types of tourist routes, and prominent features of cultural, cultural and tourism integration.

Dianjiang will hold the 22nd Peony Culture Festival, including peony culture collection, book reading promotion and other series activities. Hechuan will hold 2021 Hechuan Spring Tourism Festival, Fuling will hold the 7th Pear Flower Festival; and Nanchuan will hold Jinfo Mountain Azalea Festival. Liangping will hold the 9th Pomelo Flowers, and Tongnan will hold the 14th Rape Flower Festival. In addition, Wansheng Economic Development Zone will hold the activity themed on “Intangible Cultural Heritage in March”; Qianjiang will hold Intangible Cultural Heritage and Time-honored Brand Expo; and Tongliang will hold China Dragon and Lion Dancing Competition and others.
