CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- With the sound of gunshot, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications held a “cherry blossom” marathon last weekend.

It is reported that the Marathon route is 5km, and the race is divided into relay group for students, personal experience group for students, group for faculty and staff, group for alumni and parent-child group for faculty and staff, among which the youngest is 10 years old and the oldest is 55 years old. It is worth mentioning that on the 5km route of this marathon, the University specially included more than 10 cherry blossoms viewing spots, so that runners could enjoy not only the joy of sports, but also the beauty of cherry blossoms.

“This year, nearly a thousand students, faculty, alumni and family members were attracted.” Gao Xinbo, President of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, told the reporter that the scenery along the route was also very beautiful, and hoped that the form of combining aesthetic education and physical education would complete the function of people education. In addition, he also participated in running this time, and he said with smile that “to participate in sports among the youth, I feel full of vitality.”

Unlike previous years, alumni were invited to participate in the Marathon for the first time. Fang Shaolin, a student majored in Computer Science and Technology in Grade 2009, invited four or five alumni to participate in the Marathon. “I don’t do much exercise at ordinary times, so this is a great opportunity for me.
