CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- “When you walk on an abandoned railway track, you may wobble. The wind brings the sound of a passing train not far away. Open your arms and enjoy the beauty of the moment.”

The scene that once I fantasized countless times finally realized in Tielu Fourth Village, Huangjueping, Chongqing.

Modes of trip

Navigate to Tielu Fourth Village Bus Stop

[Key tips]

After you get off the bus, you will find Tielu Fourth Village Bus Stop. Do not directly navigate Tielu Fourth Village, or you will go wrong. Although the navigation instructions also show graffiti, but you can not reach the accurate destination. The correct operation is to directly navigate the "Junge Shuwu".

[Recommendations for you to go to Tielu Fourth Village]

Graffiti

Walking through the streets and alleys, it is easy to see graffiti on walls. Some of them are blessings to lovers, and some are good expectations for the future. The graffiti brings a sense of vitality to Tielu Fourth Village, and pieces of color render the beautiful tomorrow of the Village.

It is a kind of enjoyment to appreciate the graffiti in each area. Although I do not know much about the art field, when I saw the graffiti here, I immediately wanted to add color to this place like an artist.

Architecture beauty

In the 1950s, after Chengdu-Chongqing Railway was opened to traffic, and the Railway Department built a large living area for employees in this area. The Tielu Fourth Village was the living area for railway employees at that time. In this way, two or even three generations of some citizens living here were railway workers.

As time flies, the current building here is to be demolished.

The factory buildings to be demolished are made of black brick and tiles, and the old burglary nets on the exterior walls have been refurbished, but maybe they have been neglected since they were left unused, it showed the rusted appearance.

Looking up, you can see the electric wires above the eaves. As the representative elements of old Chongqing, except for Tielu Fourth Village, it is almost hard to see them in urban areas now.

Junge Shuwu

It is definitely not a place to be missed in Tielu Fourth Village.

There are more than 5000 books, old Chongqing area topographic map, all kinds of old objects and so on.

If you are tired, you can sit down, take a nap, read a book, play gobang, or enjoy tea or RichMan, which will absolutely make you happy.

It was raining when I went, and I didn't expect to see many people, but the room was full of people. Later, I talked to them and learned that they had come here on vacation to relax.

It is valuable to read a book, drink tea, and feel the slow life here, and maybe everyone yearn for it.

Abandoned railway tracks

The abandoned railway tracks here are the place where every tourist must go, among which the Triangular Road is especially popular.

Triangle Road, was a place where the train turned around. A train only had one locomotive, had to take off the car upon arriving at the destination, and got back to the rear of train along another road to mount again; later, a train had two locomotives, but it had no need to turn around, so this place lost its function.

The unused tracks were abandoned; and by the time of the spring equinox, the tracks have become overgrown with grass, and some sections of the tracks even have bushes growing along them.

Not far away, there are tracks that are still in use, so you can still see trains going by. There is something different when you walk on the abandoned tracks and see a train going by.

Taking photos

When you come to Tielu Fourth Village, you must take photos!

Every element here is suitable for the background. As long as you find the right angle, and choose the right location, you may get blockbusters.

Whether it’s artistic or factory-style, there’s always something for you.

In addition, I remind you that there are few restaurants around the Village, so it is recommended to bring your own dry food.

Sichuan Fine Arts Institute

With manual navigation, you only need to walk to Sichuan Fine Arts Institute.

There are more graffiti on the street than you can imagine. It seems that without graffiti, it would be a little incongruous. After you go to Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, you will be amazed at the unrestrained artistic creativity of the students of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute.

Jiaotong Teahouse

It is not far from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. It is recommended to arrive here by manual navigation. You can have tea, chat, play chess and feel the taste of old Chongqing here. (Translated by Liu Hongyan, Fathom Language Limited)
