In order to create a safe and smooth environment for the students to go to and from school, the bus captains of Shapingba Branch of West Public Transport of Chongqing City Transportation Development and Investment Bus Group have put on their red vests and set up a “school escort” for the children.

“Please watch step, line up and don’t jostle...” After the students were dismissed from school, under the guidance of the volunteers, the students formed a queue to go to the pick-up point as a class unit. The neat queue not only solves the problems of chaotic road traffic order and prominent traffic congestion in front of the school during school hours, but also ensures the traffic safety of students going to and from school.

“The volunteers stand by the door of the special bus for students and guide the children to develop good habits of queuing for the bus. To help children travel safely, the bus captains will take the initiative to put on their red vests and provide school escort services for children during school hours and after school,” volunteer Li Qi said as he guided the children onto the special bus.

In recent years, these volunteers have been in “escort mode” at the start of the school year. Due to the increasing number of private cars, the flow of people in front of schools has gradually become larger, and more and more bus captains have taken the initiative to join the school escort team.
