CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On April 3, the first day of Qingming Festival holidays, Mexin Wine Town in Linshi Town, Fuling District, welcomed a large number of visitors. They took the scenic “Poverty Alleviation Cableway” up the mountain and took advantage of the bright spring sunshine to visit “Qingming Bazaar” in Paotong Village, sharing the fun of eating Qingming Dumplings, flying kites and other traditional customary activities.

Qingming Dumplings with pickled mustard tuber, spicy gluten, spicy chicken, leeks, “steamed buns”... At the Qingming Bazaar, the staff from Mexin Wine Town were handing out free Qingming Dumplings in different shapes and flavors to visitors, attracting long queues of visitors to try them.

On the site, 50cm diameter giant “Fat Qingming Dumpling” was particularly eye-catching, and the mahjong-shaped Qingming Dumplings were rather characteristic of Chongqing. As a traditional snack for the Qingming Festival, the Qingming Dumplings, which are as green as jade, glutinous and soft, are also popular with visitors because of their long lasting flavor.

On the same day, visitors also received free willow saplings to be planted in the scenic spot, and the area also prepared activities such as “hoops to win local eggs”. It is learned that the Qingming Bazaar is the same as the previous Village Revitalization Bazaar in Baotong Village. The location of the event was chosen to give people a deep sense of the significance of the festival, and to take the opportunity to attract popularity, drive consumption and once again help local villagers to sell their rich agricultural products and promote wealth and income.
