CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the world’s first unmanned “cloud bus” was put into operation in Bishan, Chongqing, officially opening the era of professional application of transportation tram.

Chongqing Bishan “cloud bus” demonstration line starts from the square in front of Bishan High-speed Railway Station and ends at Bishan Station of Metro Line 1. The main line is 15.4km in length, with 15 elevated stations in total.

Bishan “cloud bus” project started construction in August 2019, and was put into trial operation in May 2020. As a small-volume rail transit, the “cloud bus” has automatic operation, intelligent operation and maintenance and unmanned driving throughout the whole process, which can effectively solve short-distance and small-volume urban travel and open up the urban “microcirculation”.

There are 15 elevated stops, including 7 large and small park stops such as Xiuhu Park and Fengxianghu Children’s Park, which are not only convenient for citizens to travel, but also can realize the travel experience of taking “cloud bus” to see all over the park.
