2021-04-21 09:29:53

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On April 16, the first batch of signed projects entered Jingangbei Historical and Cultural Block. This means that after three years of closed construction, the protective repair project of the core area of the Jingangbei Historical and Cultural Block has come to an end. At the end of this year, the core area of Jingangbei Historical and Cultural Block will officially open to the public.

Jingangbei is located at the foot of Jinyun Mountain and the bank of Jialing River, 5km away from Beibei. During the Anti-Japanese War, the Nationalist Government moved its capital to Chongqing, taking Chongqing as the wartime auxiliary capital. Many national government agencies moved here, and a large number of famous economic industrialists, historians, writers and social activists also lived in Jingangbei. The commercial prosperity and cultural prosperity of Jingangbei made it known as “small Beibei” along the Jialing River.

The original appearance of the building was preserved to the greatest extent in the renovation of the Jingangbei Historical and Cultural Block. (Photographed by Long Danmei and Qin Tingfu/Vision Chongqing)
