CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On May 6, a vertical lift was under construction at the construction site of Yuzhong District Side of Dongdamen Bridge Vertical Lift Project. The Project is now 80% completed. It is introduced that Dongdamen Bridge Vertical Lift Project is one of the supporting projects for “Two Rivers and Four Banks” in the main urban districts of Chongqing, and a total of three lifts will be installed on the bridge. One escalator and one vertical lift will be provided on the Yuzhong District Side and one vertical lift on the Nanan District Side.

When opened, the lifts will solve the vertical height difference between the bridge and the road underneath it, significantly reducing the walking time for pedestrians from Huguang Guild Hall to Luohan Temple and from Nanbin Road to Shangxin Street Rail Transit Station.
