CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, China Mobile Chongqing Big Data Center released the big data during the May Day holiday based on the big data of operators, showing that during the May Day holiday, as a hot tourist destination, Chongqing attracted many foreign tourists; among them, about 1.19 million tourists were from Sichuan.

During this May Day holiday, the total tourists of Guanyinqiao and Jiefangbei in Chongqing were about 1.53 million. In addition, the four major business districts including Daping, Nanping, Three Gorges Square and Yangjiaping also attracted tourists of about 1.54 million.

Among the popular scenic spots, Hongyadong Folk Custom Area received 409,000 person-times which was the maximum number of tourists during the May Day holiday. In addition, Ciqikou Ancient Town, Chongqing Zoo, Yangtze River Cableway Scenic Spot, Nanbin Road Scenic Spot and Danzishi Old Street received about 840,000 person-times during the holiday.

With the acceleration of the construction of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, people from Sichuan and Chongqing had close contacts during the May Day holiday.

According to statistics, about 1.19 million tourists had traveled from Sichuan to Chongqing during the May Day holiday in 2021. Of which, about 570,000 tourists traveled from Chengdu to Chongqing, accounting for 35% of the total. About 810,000 tourists mainly traveled to Shapingba District, Liangjiang New Area, Yuzhong District, Jiulongpo District, Jiangbei District, Yubei District and Nan’an District in Chongqing, accounting for about 7% on average.

At the same time, about 1.26 million tourists traveled from Chongqing to Sichuan, and about 840,000 tourists mainly traveled to Chengdu in Sichuan, accounting for 45% of the total; while about 670,000 tourists traveled to Guang’an, Dazhou, Luzhou, Nanchong, Neijiang and Suining, accounting for 36% of the total.
