CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On May 6, Longtan Reservoir Hub Project in Dianjiang County officially put down the gates for water storage. It’s understood that the reservoir is one of the key water supply projects in five southwestern provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government), with a total reservoir capacity of 16.51 million cubic meters and an annual water supply capacity of 38 million cubic meters, which is a medium-sized reservoir mainly for urban and rural water supply, as well as agricultural irrigation. After the completion of water storage, it can meet the irrigation needs of 46,700 mu of farmland and nearly 250,000 people in Dianjiang and Zhong County.
