Zhao Xinli, the person in charge of the Wanzhou Great Falls, told reporters that in 2000, a development company found and took over the purely natural waterfall, but it has not been very popular, and by 2008, the annual number of visitors was only 50,000 or 60,000. With the opening of the railroad and highway to Wanzhou in recent years, the Waterfall also witnessed a growth of tourists. According to reports, throughout last year, Wanzhou Great Falls received a total of more than 500,000 visitors.

Zhao Xinli said, in fact, the title of “The No.1 Great Fall in Asia” has not yet been certified by the authority, but the “great” of Wanzhou Great Fall, and its “strange” and “wonderful”, these three characteristics are also enough to make visitors feel its majestic momentum.

“Great” lies in its 9739.5 square meters of waterfall area. In fact, when it comes to waterfalls, most Chongqing citizens may think of Huangguoshu Waterfall. Wanzhou Great Falls is not as high as Huangguoshu Falls, as the former is 64.5 meters, the latter is 77.8 meters, but Wanzhou Great Falls are 50 meters wider than the width of Huangguoshu Waterfall, namely 151 meters.

The “strange” lies in the cave under the waterfall, more than 7,000 square meters of “water-curtain cave” provides a large space for the imagination.
