Lancaoxi Ecological Footpath in Nan’an District to be completed by the end of June

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Walk in the bamboo forest and listen to the sound of gurgling stream. The reporter learned from Nan’an District that by the end of June this year, the Phase I of Lancaoxi Ecological Restoration Project in Xiliu Village, Xiakou Town would be fully completed; and at that time, citizens could walk along this ecological leisure footpath and enjoy scenery.
It is understood that as one of the “Seven Optimizations” Project in Nan’an District, the total investment of the Project is 3 million yuan. The whole project includes a 1.7-kilometer ecological footpath and landscape renovation and greening, supporting facilities along the line and so on. The relevant person in charge of Xiakou Town said that the Phase I of Lancaoxi Ecological Restoration Project had given full play to the concept demonstration of “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets” and practiced the concept construction of “the Yangtze River Scenic Eye and Chongqing Ecological Island” in Guangyang Island, and it would effectively improve the ecological environment of Xiakou Town, as well as the living environment and the life quality of the public.
In addition, the construction of the ecological footpath would connect Nanshan Footpath to Nanshan National Tourist Scenic Spot, then to the Yangtze River Coast and finally to Guangyang Island; it was the last step to connect Nanshan Footpath to the Yangtze River Coast, and served as “a connecting link”. At present, 75% of the foundation, cushion and gneiss pavement of the footpath project have been completed, 80% of the greening project has been completed, and 70% of the viewing platform and other supporting facilities have been completed.
