CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The night of Chongqing is illuminated by beautiful lights. Chongqing people come together to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC. On the night of June 22, a light show was held in Chongqing to celebrate CPC centenary. The light show was livestreamed on CCTV to the whole country. Chongqing is decorated with lights for the birthday of the CPC and the great progress of the era.

The “light show to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China” consists of four chapters. Chapter I stages words formed by lights, saying “Celebrate CPC’s 100th Anniversary”, “A Magnificent Centennial Journey”, “Original Aspiration Remains Even Firmer One Hundred Years Later”, and “Long Live the Great CPC”. Chapter II recalls important historic moments from 1921 to 2021, including the founding of the CPC, the founding of the PRC and the reform and opening up. Chapter III introduces key historic turns of China in terms of modern industry, history, humanities and technology. Chapter IV displays the “Past and Future” and the good wishes for the 100th birthday of the CPC.

The light show was livestreamed on CCTV13’s “Oriental Horizon” and the CCTV News client. Reporter saw that the night scene of Chongqing is quite splendid. Jiefangbei WFC, Huangguan International and Sheraton on Nanbin Road, Yangtze River Cableway, Hongyadong and Jiangbeizui were all decorated with numerous lights. The characters formed by lights saying “Celebrate CPC’s 100th Anniversary”, “A Magnificent Centennial Journey”, and “Original Aspiration Remains Even Firmer One Hundred Years Later” were particularly dazzling. The lights on ten high-rises at Jiangbeizui made up a huge screen to present us the China-Europe freight train and other achievements that Chongqing has made, showing the profound changes of Chongqing.
