VILNIUS, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived here on Tuesday for a two-day official visit. He met with Lithuanian and European Union (EU) leaders and on Wednesday he will attend this year's edition of the annual Ukraine Reform Conference.

On Tuesday, Zelensky met with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda and Parliament (Seimas) Speaker Viktorija Cmilyte-Nielsen.

Congratulating the Lithuanian people on their national Statehood Day, the Ukrainian president called Lithuania a reliable and committed partner of Ukraine. Zelensky noted that although the two countries do not share a border, they have common values, interests and aspirations.

Zelensky also met with Charles Michel, president of the European Council, to discuss preparations and bilateral priorities for the 23rd Ukraine-EU summit, scheduled for Oct. 12, 2021.

Zelensky and Michel also discussed the Associated Trio, a tripartite format for cooperation among the Foreign Ministries of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova.
