BEIJING, July 9 (Xinhua) -- China's civil aviation regulator has announced the suspension of a Condor airline's flight from Frankfurt to Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, after nine passengers on a June 27 flight tested positive for COVID-19.
The suspension of flight DE8442 will last for two weeks, starting July 12, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) said Friday on its website.
The CAAC also said that Condor is not allowed to transfer the original quota of flight DE8442 to other routes.
According to the CAAC policy, flight suspensions will be extended from one week to two weeks if the number of passengers testing positive for COVID-19 reaches five.
A suspension will last for four weeks if the number of passengers who test positive reaches ten. Enditem
