CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On the occasion of the 200-day countdown to the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, the Winter Sports “7 Events in 7 Locations” - Into the Tongliang District Government Organs was launched at the Xiexin Starlight World Plaza in Tongliang, Chongqing.

The event was conducted in the form of a parade, inviting winter sports enthusiasts to participate in interactive projects, fun competitions and an in-depth experience of the fun of winter sports.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to the traditional land curling, roller hockey, e-skiing, table hockey, simulated skiing and other popular items, this event also added two new fun items on top of the previous ones, simulated Nordic Combined (skiing and shooting) and sharp eyes and agile hands (winter sports version), to further enrich the public’s experience. At the same time, two exhibition areas, Winter Olympics Knowledge and Chongqing Winter Sports Road, were set up on the site to visually and comprehensively present the Beijing Winter Olympics bid process, preparations, and Chongqing Winter Sports path from 0 to 1 million ice breakers and bloomers.

“This is the first time that winter sports ‘7 events in 7 locations’ has come to Tongliang District, and it is also the sixth event we have held this year, as well as the most extensive experience. Through a popular form, the promotion and popularization of winter sports is carried out throughout the city, bringing them to the public,” said Ke Ping, director of Chongqing Winter Sports Center.
