CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, Chongqing Water Group deployed 14 cadres, carrying much professional equipment such as leak patrol instrument, related instrument, generator, electric welder and epidemic prevention items, and rushed to Henan in 4 engineering vehicles.

As a result of successive heavy rainfall and flooding, water supply, drainage, and others of many places in Henan Province were seriously affected. on July 30, Chongqing Water Group received a request for help from Henan Zhongzhou Water Company, requesting urgent support for Xinxiang’s Weihui City Dongguan sewage treatment plant, Tianyi water plant, timely restoration of urban sewage treatment operation and normal water supply services.

According to reports, by the “7-20” torrential rain and flooding, Weihui city water peak reached 20 million cubic meters, Donguan wastewater treatment plant was flooded with an average water level of more than 2 meters, all process structures in the plant, mechanical and electrical equipment, high and low voltage distribution system, automatic control system, etc. are faulty, unable to operate, as well as large damage to the water supply network.

“Our main task is to repair and evaluate the flooded electromechanical equipment in the sewage treatment plant, as well as the basic maintenance of some of the equipment; while testing the water supply network and directing emergency repairs.” According to the person in charge of Chongqing Water Group, among the 14 team members, there are four engineers, three senior technicians and technicians, and seven middle and senior electricians, pliers and plumbers.
