After confirming that the little girl was trapped, a cartoon began to play on the screen. The voice on the other side continued to talk to the little girl, while calming the girl down and allowing her to stand away from the elevator door as shown in the cartoon, with her legs slightly bent against the carriage wall, waiting to be rescued.

Less than 10 minutes, the property and elevator maintenance personnel rushed to the scene to rescue the trapped girl.

How did the staff know the situation?

It turns out that it was not a human being who found someone trapped, but this elevator installed in the community.

The reporter saw at the scene that the elevator did not look different from ordinary elevators. But in fact, the “talking” screen is a smart elevator terminal, which is connected to a background - Chongqing elevator 96333 emergency handling platform (hereinafter referred to as “96333 platform”).

This smart elevator can collect images and sounds through artificial intelligence cameras, and identify dangerous behaviors such as door picking, door tapping and fighting through algorithms, as well as “help” “elevator fails”, “the door won’t open” and other key words, and it can even understand Chongqing dialect. As long as these behaviors and words appear in the elevator, or the elevator does not run for 60 seconds with passengers in the carriage, the system will immediately alarm.

After receiving the alarm signal, the handling specialist of 96333 platform will be the first to appear on the elevator screen, instruct the trapped people to take avoidance measures, start the emergency handling procedures, and reflect the situation to the rescue personnel of the property and elevator maintenance unit.

In addition to understanding the movements and listening to the words, this smart elevator can also recognize dangerous objects.

The smart elevator is also "aware" of the inherent risks in operation. Once the elevator has experienced any one of thousands of faults, such as unexpected car movement, non-leveling stop, or safety circuit break, the elevator will issue an early warning to prevent the problem before it happens.

It is learned that in addition to the artificial intelligence camera, the elevator is also installed with dozens of front-end devices such as induction switches, gyroscopes, air pressure needles, and intelligent components for elevator safety. These devices collect data in real time and send back to the back-end system. Once the system receives this data, it can make timely judgments about hazards by performing big data analysis through algorithms.
