CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Every year in summer and autumn, it is the peak of vegetable harvesting season in Liujiao Village, Weituo Town, Hechuan District. Right now, the village’s pumpkins are in the picking season. Early the other morning, villagers were busy picking, transferring, and selling to the main urban area of Chongqing under the unified deployment of professional cooperatives.

According to reports, the Liujiao village has been growing Cucurbita moschata Duch for more than 10 years, mostly retail households. After years of development, the village pumpkin planting area is about 133.3 hectares, with an annual output of up to 1,500 tons.
