CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On August 15, Lijia Intelligent Pavilion was officially inaugurated - how smart is it? A reporter from Chongqing Daily went to poke around that day.

In the Liangjiang Multipurpose Hall of Lijia Intelligent Pavilion, the reporter saw a staff member standing in front of a podium, pointing and stroking at the air. As he got closer, he realized that there was a “screen” in the air in front of the staff member that could only be seen from a certain angle. A script was clearly visible on the “screen”. By tapping the finger on this “screen”, the staff member could swipe, go back and jump through the script smoothly.

The reporter also noted that little echo could be heard from the speakers in the 3400-square-meter Liangjiang Multipurpose Hall. The reason for this is that the interior of the hall is made of natural inscribed wood material that has been micro-perforated, with up to 25 small holes of 0.5mm diameter in 1 square centimeter, which ensures the effect of the wood finish while minimizing the effect of noise and echoes.

In terms of service, Lijia Intelligent Pavilion has created a unique intelligent restaurant. For every dish served by the waiter, 14 projectors and sound interact with each other to interpret the story of its birth at the table through sound and light technology. The surrounding walls, meanwhile, change their images according to the storyline, presenting Chongqing’s distinctive dining culture to diners with smooth and detailed animation.

In terms of security, every large piece of facade glass in the South and North Halls of Lijia Intelligent Pavilion is fitted with breakage detectors and vibration detectors. These detectors can detect vibrations and movements at the millimeter level; and if they detect anomalies, they will send the corresponding glass “ID” to maintenance staff, ensuring the safety of attendees in extreme weather such as high winds and thunderstorms.
