The tourist reception of popular scenic areas in Chongqing, including Wulong Fairy Mountain, Ciqikou Ancient Town, Chongqing Zoo, Hongyadong, Nanbin Road Scenic Area and Yangtze River Cableway Scenic Area, also increased in this year.

During the Dragon Boat Festival and May Day holiday, men more 14% than women traveled to Chongqing, according to the data. Female tourists are mostly born in the 1980s, while male tourists are concentrated in the 30-59 age group.

In terms of travel mode, self-driving has become the main choice for tourists due to its advantages such as privacy and security, and family tourism consumption represented by self-drive travel is rapidly reviving.

Agricultural experience and agricultural landscape become the characteristic of Chongqing rural tourism

At the conference, Chongqing Culture and Tourism Information Center, together with Chongqing University of Technology, released the Big Data Analysis Report on Rural Tourism in Southwest China.

According to the report, rural tourism in southwest China is dominated by rural tourism types such as natural scenery, historical sites, villages, agricultural experiences, agricultural landscapes and resorts.
