CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The reporter learned from the Chongqing Zoo, on September 13, Chongqing Zoo giant panda “Haoqi” gave birth to a pair of female and male cub, the first cub weighs 104.3g, female; the second cub weighs 168.2g, male.
In August, 2013, giant panda “Haoqi” was born in Chongqing Zoo, the fourth daughter of giant panda “Yaya”. Shortly after her birth, Nobel Laureate Ding Zhaozhong visited the zoo and named her “Haoqi”.
On April 22, 2021, “Haoqi” completed natural mating with male giant panda “Lulin” at the China Giant Panda Conservation and Research Center, three months after his sister “Mangzi” gave birth to twins. This is the second pair of giant panda twin cubs in Chongqing Zoo this year, and also the first birth of giant panda “Haoqi”.
