CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On September 24, 15 acres of giant rice were ripe and harvested at the Chongqing Branch of the China National Hybrid Rice R&D Research Center in Shiwan Town, Dazu District. The rice plants were as thick and strong as sorghum, with long grains, and the average height of each rice plant was about 2 meters. In the presence of Dazu District Agricultural Technology Service Center, the harvesting area was measured at 1.43 mu, with a total weight of 815.15 kg and 13.33% moisture, equivalent to an acreage of 495.93 kg.

It is learned that the plant type of “giant rice” is tall, which is not only resistant to disease and collapsing, but also resistant to flooding and saline-alkali tolerance, so it is suitable for the combination of planting and cultivation while planting rice with fish.
