2021-09-27 14:21:07

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On September 30, Chongqing Shibati Traditional Scenic Area located in the Jiefangbei CBD of Yuzhong District will be opened to the public. Some parts of the newly renovated Shibati will be opened this time, waiting for the public and tourists to experience the “new look of the old town”.

Under the intelligent floodlighting system at night, the whole Shibati are bathed in soft light.

This intelligent nighttime floodlighting system is based on the urban life of Shibati and adopts the most advanced lighting intelligent control system to reproduce the past life of the old Chongqing citizens and the memory of the central city.

In order to ensure the opening on September 30, the construction workers at the site are still busy, and all of them are working hard to finish the works.

The relevant person in charge told Chongqing Morning Post that the first batch of scenic spots to be opened in the “Shibati” are the Mountain City Memory Hall, the site of the Shibati Tunnel, the Jiaopu Affairs -- Jiaopu Lane, Huangge Hanging Moon, Old Well with Spring Wind – Well Square, Guanyinyan, Shanguo Night Lamp -- Shanguo Lane, Scenery at Jiaochang -- City balcony, and so on.

Among them, the Mountain City Memory Hall, one of the “18 Views”, is oriented for “tracing the history of the mountain city, interpreting its landscape, tasting its memory and showing its spirit,” which is the most important spiritual and cultural core of the project.

The Memorial Hall of the Shibati Tunnel Site will focus on the “air-raid shelter” and tell the story of Chongqing’s memory from four aspects: “the cause of the construction of the air-raid shelter -- the construction process of the air-raid shelter -- the production life in the air-raid shelter - the wartime role of the air-raid shelter”.

It is learned that the Shibati Traditional Scenic Area will focus on “urban tourism”, “intangible heritage” and “cultural and creative experience”, and combine with the “night economy” and other modern service industry positioning, to realize the panoramic experience of “culture + tourism”, “culture + creativity” and “culture + cross-border” development. The planning focus on the functional groups of two experiences and two centers, namely “Traditional Culture Experience”, “National Culture and Creation Experience”, “International Exchange Center” and “Lifestyle Center”.
