CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- As the National Day holiday is approaching, Port and Maritime Branch of Chongqing Municipal Traffic Law Enforcement Team recently issued reminders on water safety for the National Day holiday trip and visited Beibei Chengjiang Primary School to popularize water traffic safety knowledge to students.

Beibei Chengjiang Primary School is located beside the Jialing River and some students have to take a passenger ferry to cross the river to go to school. The officers introduced water traffic safety knowledge to students by showing cartoon videos of safe boat rides and explaining on the site in order to ensure safe and orderly water passenger transport in the area and to enhance students’ safety awareness.

The officers were also on hand to teach the students the correct way to put on their life vests. And through interactive quizzes, the students learned about drowning prevention during the event.

The Second Contingent of Port and Maritime Branch of Chongqing Municipal Traffic Law Enforcement Team also reminds passengers: when travelling on a tourist boat during the holidays, please do not play around on the boat, do not take photographs close to the edge of the boat and do not stand on the edge of the deck and look down at the waves to prevent dizziness or losing your footing in the water.
