Phase I of Jiangtan Park in Jiangbeizui opened

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On October 5, Phase I of Jiangtan Park in Jiangbeizui, which has just been put into use, attracted many visitors to visit. 

As a key shoreline management and improvement project in the core area of the Two Rivers and Four Banks (Landmark Riverside Scenic Area), the Park starts at Chang’an Wharf on the north bank of the Jialing River and ends at Guanyin Temple at the southern foot of Tazi Mountain on the north bank of the Yangtze River, with a total shoreline length of 6.01km. The Park is designed with facilities including a 165-meter high elastic path, a 178-meter pro-water path and other leisure trails and viewing platforms along the River, and runs through important landscape gateway areas such as Liujia Wharf on Beibin Road, Juxianyan Square, the Grand Theatre and Sandongqiao Commercial Street.

It is introduced that the construction of the park is divided into two phases: Phase I is the Jialing River section, spanning 1.7km from Chang’an Wharf to the Qiansimen Bridge; and Phase II is the Yangtze River section, spanning 4.3km from the two wings of Jiangbeizui to Tazi Mountain on the northern bank of the Yangtze River.
