CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- As a common sport in China, rope skipping has a long history of tradition and a well-established mass base. The reporter recently learned from Datianwan National Fitness Center, Chongqing Rope Skipping Association was officially established. The Association will strive to promote the culture of rope skipping, increase the population of rope skipping sports and promote rope skipping in Chongqing.

According to Chongqing Rope Skipping Association President Ren Wendong, rope skipping has been loved by many young people and fitness groups in recent years, and gradually developed into a sporting activity integrating fitness, entertainment, competition, performance and other functions. According to incomplete statistics, more than 500,000 people (including primary and secondary school students) have participated in rope skipping in Chongqing for a long time.

For the development of the Rope Skipping Association, Yang Guishan, deputy director of Chongqing Sports Bureau, said that the Association should implement the work requirements of the Chongqimg Civil Affairs Bureau, Chongqing Sports Bureau and other relevant units, popularize the sport of rope skipping in Chongqing, create brands of rope skipping, cultivate rope skipping industry, and strive to contribute to the construction of a powerful sports city.
