CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the China Ice and Snow Caravan 100 Tours Chongqing Station, jointly sponsored by the Winter Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, Chongqing Sports Bureau, Chongqing Yongchuan District People’s Government and other departments, was officially kicked off at the Yongchuan Stadium.

It is learned that the China Ice and Snow Caravan 100 Tours were officially launched in Beijing on July 15. Over the past two months, the China Ice and Snow Caravan has carried out 17 ice and snow promotion and popularization activities in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei Qinhuangdao, Jilin Liaoyuan, Shandong Dezhou and other places, with more than 30,000 people directly participating offline.

This is the first time that the ice and snow caravan came to Chongqing, and there were all kinds of ice and snow experience programs there. For example, ice hockey shooting, cross-country ski training machine, dryland curling, table hockey, biathlon simulation shooter, speed skating training board, etc. Nearly 1,000 college students and ice and snow enthusiasts participated in it. The ice and snow caravan will stay in Yongchuan for two days, and in the following week, the ice and snow caravan will also drive to Sunny Block of University Town in High-tech Zone (14th) and Sincere Plaza in Tongliang District (16-17th), so that more citizens can experience the fun of ice and snow sports.

Ke Ping, director of Chongqing Winter Sports Center, said that on the occasion of the 100-day countdown to the Winter Olympics, the China Ice and Snow Caravan came to Chongqing, which not only brought rich and diversified ice and snow experience activities, knowledge and culture of ice and snow sports, but also provided convenience for citizens to participate and experience ice and snow sports closely and easily, and created a popular ice and snow sports atmosphere for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
