CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, Zhang Peiwu, a painter from Zhongxian County and a member of the China Artists Association, held a donation ceremony for “Zhongzhou Great Scenery” and an exhibition of Chinese painting sketches at Zhongxian Zhongzhou Museum in Chongqing. This painting will be donated to the permanent collection of Zhongzhou Museum free of charge. Zhang Peiwu’s Chinese painting exhibition was also held in Zhongzhou Museum on the same day.

The “Zhongzhou Great Scenery” carefully created by Zhang Peiwu for 3 years is on display at Zhongzhou Museum in Zhongxian County.

It is learned that Zhang Peiwu, a native of Zhongxian County, Chongqing, left his hometown in his early years and has been engaged in artwork for 55 years. Zhang Peiwu, who are already over 70 years old, still cares about his hometown, creating this magnificent 36-meter-long and 1.45-meter-high “Zhongzhou Great Scenery”, which is donated to the permanent collection of Zhongzhou Museum for free.

This painting has been meticulously created by Zhang Peiwu after more than three years of cultivation and planning, data collection, style sketching and other processes. The paintings are divided into four parts: “Zhongzhou Ancient Charm”, “Folk Customs”, “New City with New Looks” and “Beautiful Countryside”, including the key historical and cultural monuments of Zhongxian County.

“Although I have been away from my hometown for many years, I always pay close attention to the development and changes of my hometown.” Zhang Peiwu said, the long scroll of the “Zhongzhou Great Scenery” I created is my long-cherished wish for many years. I hope that by donating paintings could be seen as a review of the history of the people of my hometown, I hope that the people of Zhongxian County will be encouraged to love their motherland, love their hometown, and contribute to their hometown, to promote the political, cultural, and economic development of Zhongxian County.
