CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- As the weather is getting colder in late autumn, Chongqing Rail Transit has added new measures to warm people’s hearts. Since November 1, Chongqing City Transportation & Investment Group will launch a regular prolonged operation, and the departure time of the last train on most lines on weekdays will be prolonged to 23:00 in the evening, which is consistent with the holidays, to provide safe, convenient, warm and comfortable services for people who return home late.

Since this year, the CRT Group has first prolonged the last train departure time of most lines from 22:30 to 23:00 on Fridays and holidays, and after deepening research and coordination, the CRT Group has recently successfully completed the weekday delay plan and started the regular prolonged operation to enrich the public’s night travel and further improve the operation service quality.

Chongqing Rail Transit lines are long and extensive, and depending on the line length, passenger flow intensity, operation organization and other circumstances, there are differences in each line prolonged plan:

I. The departure time of the last train of Line 1, Line 2, Line 3 (Bijin-Jurenba), Line 5, Line 6 and Line 10 has been prolonged to 23:00 in the evening.

II. The departure time of the last train on the national statutory holidays and the day before will be prolonged to 23:00 in the evening, and the rest of the operating time shall remain unchanged.

III. The daily departure time of the last train of Line 3 remains the same at 22:30 in the evening. During the period of 22:30~23:00, the operation time is extended by returned empty train to carry passengers. The passenger section is from the starting station (Yudong Station, Jiangbei Airport Station) to Longtousi Station.

IV. The operating time of Line 4 and Guobo Line (International Expo) will remain unchanged.

During the extended operation hours (22:30~23:00), the departure interval of each line is about 10 minutes, so passengers travelling at night should arrange their travel time reasonably. CRT Group will continue to optimize the operation service with the needs of the public as the orientation, and strive to introduce more people-friendly initiatives to further enhance the travel experience of passengers.
