According to the setting requirement of “Uniform Arabic Numerals for Station Entrances” in the “Chongqing Rail Transit Passenger Service Mark Standard”, starting from October 28, Chongqing City Transportation Development & Investment Rail Group will change the station entrance signs of Jiaochangkou-Xinshancun section of CRT Line 2, and the English letters such as “A, B, C” will be correspondingly changed to Arabic numerals such as “1, 2, 3”, which is consistent with other stations of the CRT network.

CRT Line 2 is the first urban rail transit line in western China, and it is also the first straddle-type monorail line in China. It has been in safe operation for 16 years since 2005. It has become the exclusive memory of local citizens and the business card of Chongqing in the eyes of outsiders and tourists. When the Jiaochangkou-Xinshancun section of Line 2 was opened, with reference to the operation experience of other cities, the uppercase English letters were used as the station entrance numbers and are still in use today.

In order to further promote the specification, standardization and unification of rail transit signs, and bring more convenient travel services to citizens, according to the relevant local regulations, the CRT Group has changed the station entrance signs of the jiaochangkou-Xinshancun section of Line 2, and synchronously changed the relevant guide signs, which is expected to be completed within 2021.
