CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The reporter recently learned that the WAHIN-2021 Chongqing Women’s Half Marathon, originally scheduled for October 31, will be postponed for the safety and health of the runners.

The organizing committee said that some participants had already booked transportation and accommodation to Chongqing, and they would be compensated on a case-by-case basis.

How to apply the compensation for transportation and accommodation

The deadline for applications: 18:00 on October 30th, 2021. Overdue applications will no longer be accepted. Application process: follow the “Chongqing Women’s Marathon” WeChat Official Account-Select “refund Application”-Transportation and Accommodation Compensation Application-correctly fill in the relevant information and submit relevant vouchers-submit the materials required (as shown in figure 2)

Participants are required to provide their real-name air tickets, high-speed rail and bullet train tickets to and from Chongqing during the original race period (October 27 - November 1) as valid evidence to apply for compensation (service invoice or refund invoice, as well as order screenshots or payment screenshots). The organizing committee will review and compensate within 15 working days after October 31.

If the participants book the local hotel in Chongqing during the original race period (October 27 - November 1), and there is a handling fee in the process of refunding the accommodation fee, participants are required to provide the relevant vouchers (invoice of handling fee or withdrawal fee, as well as screenshot of order or payment) related to the handling fee arising from the cancellation of the reservation in the local hotel in Chongqing from October 27 to November 1 as valid evidence to apply for compensation. The organizing committee will review and compensate within 15 working days after October 31.

The handling fee invoice must include the refund fee or handling fee, the name of the applicant, the relevant itinerary or accommodation time (as shown in figure 3). If you encounter the situation that the handling fee invoice cannot be obtained in time within the specified time, you can first submit a screenshot of the order or payment (it must include the name of the contestant and the text description related to the refund, cancellation and withdrawal). And you should select “Yes” in the “delay in providing invoices”. You can submit the relevant fee invoice on the Official WeChat Account of “Chongqing Women’s Marathon” from November 2 to November 5, and the organizing committee will review and compensate it within 10 working days after November 5.

Runners should note that each person can only apply for her own compensation. If it involves booking for more than one person, each participant in the same order needs to apply separately, and the bank card information to apply for compensation needs to be consistent with that of the applicant; participants that will be compensated only include participants who have already signed up, and fellow personnel cannot apply for relevant compensation. Applicant should not repeat the submission of the application, which will delay the approval and payment.

How to apply for refund of registration fee

The refund channel will be open until 48 hours after the announcement of the new race (for example, if the new race date is announced at 17:00 on November 10, the refund channel will be open until 17:00 on November 12).

1. Individual registration refund: if the participants are unable to participate in the 2021 Chongqing Women’s Half Marathon due to the postponement, they can click the refund button at the bottom of JD’s order page from 14:00 on October 27th, 2021. The application fee will be refunded within 1-3 working days.

2. Team registration refund: if the runner signed up for the race through the team, please contact the leader, who will be responsible for collecting the information (name, mobile phone number, document number) of the person who needs to be refunded, as well as providing the leader’s bank card name, card number and opening bank. Email will be sent to the team registration (shero_cqwm@163.com) within 48 hours after the 2021 Chongqing Women’s Half Marathon announced the confirmation of the race. The organizing committee will verify the information and refund the fee within 5-10 working days after the end of the email collection time, and the refund will be paid to the bank card of the leader, who will be responsible for the refund to the member who applied for a refund.

Runners who apply for a refund should note that after the time for the new race is determined, the time for re-registration is relatively limited, which may lead to missed registration. At the same time, the names of the applicants will not be displayed on the new number cloth for the second registration, and all the names on the generated participant number and the already-made participant number cloth will be retained.
