Chongqing to have 100 smart fresh markets by 2025
CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- A reporter of Chongqing Daily learned from the Municipal Supply and Marketing Cooperative on November 16 that Chongqing Agricultural Products Group will build 100 smart fresh markets as every residents’ “15-minute living circle” so as to promote the construction of agricultural products community life service network.
What is the appearance of smart fresh market? It will be clear if you walk into the Bainian smart market located in Nan’an District. After environmental transformation, the market is clean and bright. On the right wall, there is an electronic screen which displays the unit price of various products in the market, as well as real-time data such as sales amount, sales volume and persons flow rate. Each booth also has a small electronic screen showing the unit price and quantity of items purchased, as well as a mobile payment QR code.
Du Hong, who was shopping for vegetables, said that compared with other markets, such markets were more humanized and could provide personalized service in food processing, which meet daily needs such as mending clothes and repairing home appliances.
In addition, with the purchase receipt, the product origin and quality inspection information can also be scanned on the equipment in the market. In the past, when the supply of vegetables was short and the price was high, the market also relied on the advantages of the municipal supply and marketing cooperative system to connect with vegetable bases inside and outside the city, directly purchasing vegetables every day and distributing them to the market for sale at a lower price.
At present, Chongqing has a total of 7 smart fresh markets, Chongqing Agricultural Products Group will accelerate the pace of smart fresh market layout, and it is expected to build 100 markets by 2025, including 50 in the downtown area, 20 in suburbs and counties, and 30 in exurbs and other provinces.
