The writer saw at Jinfo Mountain Beipo Ski Resort that the snow play area and skiing area were already full of visitors. The visitors either sat on the snow hoop and spun around, or stepped on the snowboard and whizzed down from a high place. Some of them were skillful in their movements, while others just started and fell down, having a great time.
Shen Xuming, the person in charge of the Ski Resort, said, “The trails have been widened and extended, while the gentle slopes have been renovated to competition steep slope standards, and the Resort is now open for recreational activities such as double-boarding, lap-skating, snow tanks, snow diggers and snow spinning.”
It is learned that the Resort has been making snow since the end of October, with four high-temperature snow machines and 15 conventional snow machines to ensure snow retention each day; and 60% of the snow-making area has been completed on the Resort, which covers more than 30,000 square meters. Additionally, two more ski runs are being upgraded and are expected to open to the public in mid-December. (Translated by Wang Huixin, Fathom Language Limited)
