CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The reporter recently learned that from 12:00 p.m. on December 1, the long-distance charges for landline calls between Sichuan and Chongqing will be officially cancelled, realizing the integration of landline charges cross provincial administrative regions in China for the first time.

Chongqing Communications Administration Bureau introduced that in order to further deepen the integration of Sichuan-Chongqing communications, after half a year of careful planning and preparation, it completed the adjustment of landline related tariff plan, IT system transformation, service process re-engineering and others, and took the lead in the launch of cross provincial administrative regions landline communication tariff integration service.

According to the implementation plan, the long-distance charges for landline calls between Sichuan and Chongqing as well as between cities and provinces with Sichuan will be cancelled, and the long-distance call charges within Chongqing and Sichuan will be low to 0.15 yuan per minute or below. According to the principle of information convenience and benefit to the people, this adjustment will cancel the range of landline call long-distance charges for Chongqing and Sichuan, involving public landline services, government-enterprise landline services and voice special line services with landline office numbers, which is expected to save users more than 30 million yuan of communication costs every year.

In recent years, the integration of communication between Sichuan and Chongqing has been continuously promoted. On July 1 this year, Sichuan and Chongqing officially launched 8 inter-region communication services, such as long-distance card replacement, account cancellation, complaint and appeal.

Next, Chongqing and Sichuan information and communication industry will continue deepening cooperation. The joint efforts will provide more high-quality and reliable information and communication service support for the construction and development of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.
