Visiting these new Class-A scenic areas in Chongqing

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The reporter learned from Chongqing Culture and Tourism Commission that in accordance with Standard of rating for quality of tourist attractions and Administrative Measures for the Quality Grade of Tourist Areas and other relevant provisions, a total of 10 new scenic areas in Chongqing have reached the Class-A standard, as recommended by relevant district and county scenic evaluation committees and assessed by Chongqing Tourism Scenic Area Quality Rating Committee.
Among them, 7 scenic areas, including Chongqing Banan South Hot Spring Tourist Scenic Area, Chongqing Banan Ronghui Xiliutuo Riverside Scenic Area, Chongqing Kaizhou Museum, Chongqing Fairy Mountain Guiyuan Town, Chongqing Shizhu Qiyao Mountain Guanghan Palace Scenic Area, Chongqing Xiushan Hong’an Border Town Scenic Area, Chongqing Chengkou Tucheng Red Army Old Street Scenic Area reached the national AAAA level tourist scenic area standard and was identified as national AAAA level tourist scenic areas; and 3 scenic areas, including Chongqing Green Planet Science Park Scenic Area, Chongqing Dazu Dayou Field Scenic Area, Chongqing Kaizhou Changshengpin Miracle Park reached the national AAA level tourist scenic area standard and was identified as national AAA level tourist scenic areas.

Chongqing Banan South Hot Spring Tourist Scenic Area
South Hot Spring Tourist Scenic Area is one of the “Twelve Views of Chongqing”. In the core scenic area, there are the famous twelve scenic views of South Hot Spring, such as Nantang Wenyong, Huxiao Xuanliu, Qiaobi Feiquan, Xiannv Youyan, etc. The twelve scenic views are linked together with the beautiful Huaxi River, forming a charming landscape painting.
Apart from the attractive natural landscape, South Hot Spring is also a wonderful cultural heritage. The scenic area has fascinating humanistic landscapes of red culture, Anti-Japanese war culture, hot spring culture and folk culture.
From the relics of Jianwen to the legends of the fairy, from Guanyin Hot Spring to Nantang Wenyong, from Gongqiao Fanyue to Qiaobi Feiquan... This thousands-year-old hot spring has retained the memories of several generations of Chongqing people and has become a tourist symbol of old Chongqing.

Chongqing Banan Rongrui Xiliutuo Riverside Scenic Area
Located on the banks of the Yangtze River on Ronghui Peninsula in Banan District, Ronghui Xiliutuo Binjiang Scenic Area includes Ronghui Xiliutuo Town, Ronghui Peninsula Hotel and Ronghui Riverside Park.
Xiliutuo Town has distinctive attractions such as Nantang Market, Meili Market, Jianghu Night Market and Baoenta, building up an urban cultural and tourism commercial landmark.
On the banks of Babin, Ronghui Peninsula Hotel is set against Xiliutuo town and Chahua Square. The exterior of the hotel is a perfect blend of Chongqing’s “City of Mountains and Water”, with “mountains” and “camellias” as its distinctive shapes.
The park is the first open city park with a distinctive theme and comprehensive functions along Chongqing’s waterfront, and was designed with the concept of leisure, sports and parent-children.

Chongqing Kaizhou Museum
Located on Binhu Middle Road in Kaizhou District, adjacent to Hanfeng Lake National Wetland Park, Kaizhou Museum is a cultural tourism destination that combines sightseeing and leisure, cultural exhibitions, folk experiences and parent-child studies.
The museum promotes the history and culture of Kaizhou from political, economic, social and humanistic aspects, and showcases Kaizhou’s presence to the outside world. Among them, “Embroidered Kaizhou” won the title of Chongqing Top Ten Excellent Exhibition, and “Pioneers of Kaizhou” won the Best Creative Award of Chongqing Cultural Exhibition.

It is a place where the rich history and culture of Kaizhou and local folk are carried, and it is a place where the diverse cultures of Kaizhou, such as Shengshan culture, Shuaixiang culture and Juxiang culture, are displayed.

Chongqing Fairy Mountain Guiyuan Town
Located in the southern part of Wulong District, west of the Wujiang River Gallery, Guiyuan Town is situated in Fairy Mountain National Tourist Resort, which is a link between Xianniu Mountain and Baima Mountain.
The scenic area is 1150 meters above sea level, with an average temperature of 24℃ in summer. Geological wonders such as sinkholes, caves, crevices, peaks, cliffs, funnels and meadows, and humanistic remains such as Old Tea House and Ran Ancestral Hall in the scenic area, form a three-dimensional picture of karst from nature to humanity as a whole.
The scenic area consists of five themed areas: Laohubao Nature Wilderness Park, Xiaoyanwo - Billion Year Wonderland Experience Area, Children’s Art Field Area, Hidden in the Wild - B&B Resort Area and Jingzhu Country Neighborhood Experience Area.

Chongqing Green Planet Science Park Scenic Area
