CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The reporter learned from the Memorial Museum of the Southern Relocation of Cultural Relics of Palace Museum that from now on to February 15, 12 painting and calligraphy works from the Palace Museum will be on display, revealing the cultural codes contained in the painting and calligraphy works and their stories.

It is understood that the 18-year southern relocation of cultural relics of the Palace Museum is the largest cultural relic relocation and protection activity in human history. A total of 3,694 boxes of cultural relics were stored in Andersen Foreign Firm in Nan’an District, Chongqing (Exhibition Hall 2 of Memorial Museum of the Southern Relocation of Cultural Relics of the Palace Museum), so they survived from the frenzied bombing by Japanese warplanes. These painting and calligraphy works include the original works of almost all calligraphy and painting masters from Wang Xizhi in the Eastern Jin Dynasty to the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. The fine cultural relics collected by the Palace Museum, bearing the treasures of the Chinese civilization for thousands of years, have also been continued and inherited.
