CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- ID cards, keys, cell phones are missing … When riding on CRT, there are always some people losing things. Recently, Chongqing City Transportation Development & Investment Group has sorted out a lost property information inventory on CRT in 2021, with thousands of people losing things last year.
Hundreds of people lose things every month
Bags and luggage are the most easily lost items
The reporter of Chongqing Evening News saw from the inventory data that in 2021, 2,178 items were found lost by passengers on all CRT lines, with an average of about hundreds of people losing things in the CRT area each month.
The data show that bags, including handbags, backpacks, suitcases, sacks, etc., accounted for 35.3% of the total lost items; followed by keys, glasses, hats, umbrellas, cups and other miscellaneous items; the third category of easily lost items are card documents, including ID cards, bank cards, social security cards, passports, etc.; there are also cell phones, jewelry, cash, coin pocket, etc., which often occupy the top of the lost items.
Ticket booths, security checkpoints, and carriages
People are most likely to lose things in these places
Chongqing City Transportation Development & Investment Group also made an inventory of the high incidence of lost items in CRT:
Carriages: when taking the train, some passengers will put their belongings under the carriage seat or behind them, the corner of the seat next to them, reading cell phones, chatting on the way, and even take a nap. When the train arrives at the station, they stand up in a hurry to get off. After the door closed, they remembered that they left their belongings.
Waiting room and platform seat: when waiting on the platform, some passengers will rest in the waiting room or sit on the platform seat and play with their phones. Sometimes, they habitually put their belongings under the seat or on the seat next to them and get on the train in a hurry when they see the train arriving, which leads to the loss of their belongings.
Platform waiting place: when waiting in line, some passengers put their luggage beside them, and when the train door opens at the station, they rush to get on, but leave their luggage at the waiting place. In addition, some passengers get on and off the train while looking at their cell phones, causing them to fall into the gap between the platform and the train when they bump into others.
Security checkpoint: when passing through the security checkpoint, if passengers carry more than one piece of luggage or there are more passengers in the security checkpoint, the luggage will be overlaid. In addition, some people focus on looking at their cell phones and neglect to carry-on items, it is also easy to leave the items here.
Ticket vending machines and manual kiosks: when purchasing tickets and recharging, some passengers put large luggage on the ground, put their cell phone and wallet on the platform of ticket vending machines and kiosks, since they are in a hurry, and then turn around after buying tickets or recharging, leaving their belongings there.
At the gates: some careless passengers mistakenly take their ID cards, bank cards, social security cards, etc. and stuff them into the exit gates. When the gate receives the wrong card, it will report the error and return the card, and if it is not found in time, it may fall on the ground.
Bathroom: the bathrooms in the stations also have a high incidence of losing things. Passengers must check the hooks, platforms and sinks before leaving to see carefully if they have all their belongings with them.
