Recently, many colleges and universities in Chongqing issued winter vacation notices, requiring students whose hometown is in high-risk areas in epidemic situation or who are inconvenient to return home due to closed management to suspend their schedule to return home or encourage them not to return home.

Chongqing University requires students to report to their colleges for the record before leaving school. If their hometowns are located in high-risk areas in the epidemic situation or closed management makes it inconvenient to return home, their schedule to return home should be suspended.

Southwest University of Political Science & Law

Southwest University of Political Science & Law encourages students from high-risk areas to stay on campus during the winter break. The University requires to focus on epidemic prevention and control measures, strengthen care and concern for teachers and students staying on campus and psychological guidance for key groups, enrich holiday living arrangements, protect the needs of research, study and life, respond positively to the reasonable demands of teachers and students, and adjust and optimize campus management measures in a timely manner.

Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications

Recently, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications issued the “Notice on the 2022 Winter Break and the Work Arrangement for the Beginning of the Next Semester”. In terms of the requirements for the prevention and control of epidemic situation for students, all students should leave schools in batches to avoid the peak period according to the holiday arrangement and epidemic prevention and control requirements; those who need to stay in school under special circumstances should go through the staying formalities according to relevant requirements; students who stay in school on holiday must strictly abide by the school campus management regulations. Students from high-risk areas should not return home during the holiday; those who really want to return home in special circumstances can leave school only with the approval of their colleges; before leaving school, students should report to their college where they left school for and other information; after leaving school, students should strictly abide by the local epidemic prevention and control regulations, have proper personal protection, reduce unnecessary travel, do not travel long distances across provinces, and are not allowed to travel to middle-high risk areas and overseas; all students should check in for the daily health through “WE CQUPT” from the day of holiday begins, and fill in personal health information timely and accurately; after leaving school, students are not allowed to return to school in advance without the approval of the school before the formal start of school in spring.

Sichuan International Studies University

Recently, Sichuan International Studies University issued the “Notice on Arrangements for the Winter Holiday in 2022”, which requires that students take the winter break from January 15 to February 17 and come back to school on February 18. The international cooperation and exchange office will arrange the work related to the holiday and school start for international students in China separately. The affiliated middle schools and primary schools should arrange holidays separately according to the relevant notice requirements of the Chongqing Education Commission.

Requirements for epidemic prevention and control: during the winter vacation, students from middle and high-risk areas are encouraged not to return home, and a new fashion of celebrating the New Year online in special periods is advocated. If they really need to go home, they must apply to their colleges for approval, and be sure to have proper personal protection. Each college must set up “one person, one record” to make the information ledger of students who leave school and stay in school, and strictly restrict teachers and students from going to middle and high-risk areas and counties and cities.

Chongqing Technology and Business University

In Chongqing Technology and Business University, there are only about 180 students staying in school this year, among them, less than 20 students are from middle and high-risk areas. The relevant person in charge said, “The University will encourage these students to celebrate the Chinese New Year here. Before the winter vacation, the University would invite students who stayed in school to have a reunion dinner and warm Chinese New Year in the staff canteen.
