CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism officially announced the first batch of national tourism and leisure neighborhoods list. The reporter learned from the Chongqing Culture and Tourism Commission, in the list of 55 neighborhoods, Chongqing has three places selected, respectively, Grand 9st. Street Tourism and Leisure Neighborhood in Jiangbei District, Danzishi Old Street in Nan’an District, Ciqikou Neighborhood in Shapingba District.

Grand 9st. Street Tourism and Leisure Neighborhood in Jiangbei District

Located in the business district of Guanyinqiao in Jiangbei District, Grand 9st. Street Tourism and Leisure Neighborhood consists of East and West commercial areas, 9st. Street Plaza and 9st. Street Gaowu, with a total length of about 360 meters. Since the launch of the project, it has been labeled as a “night economy”.

The entertainment industry in Grand 9st. Street Tourism and Leisure Neighborhood is concentrated. National leading entertainment brands, and some personalized bars are introduced to activate the new form of night economy, making it more international.

Danzishi Old Street in Nan’an District

Danzishi Old Street is a fusion of Chinese and Western elements, with both green bricks and red walls from ROC era, and European style architecture, making it a historical and international destination. Here you can see the collision of old street culture and new fashion culture, and truly feel the blend of Chinese and Western culture.

Here, you can immerse yourself in the classical and elegant Wang Family Courtyard, feel the history in the Chongqing Business Culture Exhibition Hall, watch the drama performance on the theater stage in the center of the courtyard, and experience the cultural feast and feel the charm of the old street night show. You can also enjoy the “star-studded” Madame Tussauds Chongqing at night, “shuttle” the blue world of Landmark Ocean Park, and experience the combination of intangible crafts and modern art of Dongba Paper Workshop.

Ciqikou Neighborhood in Shapingba District

Ciqikou is an ancient town with the largest scale and the most characteristics of Bayu traditional houses, folk customs and folkways in the central urban area of Chongqing. Along the Ciqikou Pier, Longyin Square, Baiyan Square, Diecui Garden, Qingshui River estuary, Longyin Gate Archway and other landscape are “connected into a chain”, forming a unique riverside landscape.

Walking all the way from the Diaojiaolou (pile dwelling) Square in Ciqikou Backstreet, the long ladder ridge leads to an antique commercial block, in which you can experience the “slow-paced life” of the backstreet that blends ancient and modern times with a variety of specialty shops and creative goods.
