More than 100 pieces of Dong Biwu's handwriting exhibited in Wang Qi Art Museum

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to Chongqing Hongyan Alliance Culture Developing Management Center, "Dong Biwu's Handwriting Exhibition" will be held in Wang Qi Art Museum from March. 5 to Mar. 30. More than 100 pieces of Dong Biwu's poems, inscriptions and related cultural relics will be displayed, some of which are very precious.

March 5 is the anniversary of Dong Biwu's birthday. The exhibition is hosted by Chongqing Hongyan Alliance Culture Developing Management Center and Hubei Dong Biwu’ Thought Research Association, and undertaken by Wang Qi Art Museum.

Dong Biwu has loved calligraphy throughout his life and continued to practice calligraphy until he was nearly 90 years old. This exhibition displays more than 100 poems, handwritings and related cultural relics written by Dong Biwu, which are his poems and handwritten works created during his work and life from 1938 to 1975.

Most of the works on display in this exhibition have appeared in public for the first time. The originals have been collected from dozens of museums, memorials, archives and individuals. It is not easy at all to gather them altogether and display in Chongqing this season.

The exhibition will last until March 30. It is opened to the public from 9:00 am to 16:30 pm every day and closes on Monday every week. You can make an appointment at the site. (Translated by Xie Congxiao, Fathom Language Limited)
