The reporter learned from Chongqing Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Commission that on May 11, the vertical elevator project at the north bridgehead of Zengjiayan Jialing River Bridge had successfully completed the equipment debugging, was officially put into use and opened to the public.

As an important part of the quality improvement of Zengjiayan Jialing River Bridge, the vertical elevator is composed of two elevators without machine room, and its exterior decoration is glass and aluminum plate, which is beautiful and atmospheric. Citizens can take the vertical elevator from Beibin Road, and can reach the viewing platform of Zengjiayan Jialing River Bridge in less than one minute, and then walk on the bridge.
"After the project is put into use, citizens can take a vertical elevator from the Chunsen Bian, Beibin Road, Jiangbei District, and directly reach Zhongshan 4th Road, Yuzhong District via Zengjiayan Jialing River Bridge and Zengjiayan South bridgehead walkway, effectively improving the walking environment of Zengjiayan Jialing River Bridge." The relevant person in charge of Jiangbei District Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Commission said. The vertical elevator also make it convenient for citizens to walk to South bridgehead Square of Zengjiayan Bridge to take photos and get a panoramic view of Jialing River.
