CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- In summer, it is getting hotter and hotter. Yet the verdant grass on Qianye Grassland attracts people to pay a visit. Days ago when it was a sunny day, the author saw in the scenic area that many tourists went traveling various scenic spots here, including Huoji Avenue, Qianye Pasture, Forest Courtyard, the Rockscape Great Wall and River-view Corridor. In addition, amusement facilities, such as forest swing, horse-riding field, Live CS and go-kart, are also popular among tourists.

“We aim to let tourists walk into the scenery and let the scenery be imprinted on tourists’ minds.” According to the official from the Development Committee of Culture and Tourism in Shizhu County, Qianye Grassland is a national 4A level scenic spot built by the county based on its unique advantages of ecological resources. The county took the ecological tourist brand as a breaking point, planning the scenic area at a high starting point and constructing it with a large amount of budget.

Next to the Huangshui National Forest Park, Qianye Grassland Scenic Area covers an area of more than 3,300 hectares, integrating mountain, forest, grass, stone and husbandry. The natural landscapes including 1,0000 mu of clint, firethorn, forest and meadow are in harmony to create a fairyland. There are different views in different seasons - in spring, there are mountain flowers in full bloom; in summer, there are vast grasslands; in autumn, there are firethorns all over the mountains; and in winter, there are silver snow wrapping every corner. It is an ideal resort for natural sightseeing, leisure and vacation, and also one of the key scenic spots in the Huangshui National Forest Park.

In the firethorn garden covering an area of 1,000 mu, you can appreciate green leaves on the firethorn trees in spring, blossoming flowers in summer, and red fruits in autumn. Thanks to the good shape of firethorn trees, this kind of tree is recognized as a famous landscape plant. When tourists pay a visit to the garden, they can not only enjoy a picturesque natural landscape but also can seclude themselves from a hectic life, enjoying the beauty of nature.

When you step into the 1,000-mu forest, you can see thick trees rising from the earth that look like “green barriers”. The towering trees cover the sky and only light beams can penetrate through the forest. The light beams are so bright and dreamy, as if the spotlights cast on the stage. In summer, you can feel the breezes touching your face and listen to the whistling of the wind in the pines, as if you were standing inside a natural large air-conditioner.

Karst landform is one of the marvelous views of Qianye Grassland. When you walk in the 1000-mu clint scenic spot, you can see a stone mountain landscape constituted by various clints, stalagmites and stone forests,  stunned by the beauty of nature. Some tourists strike different poses in jagged stone forest and share their photos on WeChat Moment; some stand alone on stalagnate, taking selfies and shooting Douyin videos...

On the viewing platform of the “river-view corridor”, when you take a close look, you can see steep hills, ravines, gullies and mountains of lush trees, and enjoy summer breezes; when you look from a distance, you can see the rippling Yangtze River flowing around the small island in the center and enjoy a U-shape river view - it is known for “the first bay of the Yangtze River” .
