CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The reporter recently learned from the Chongqing Forestry Bureau that the four-day "pro-nature" ecological garden co-construction program activities was successfully held in Zhushan village, Mozi Tujia Ethnic Town, Zhongxian county.

Mozi Tujia Ethnic Town in Zhongxian County, where Zhushan village is located, is one of the 17 Municipal Rural Revitalization key assistance towns in Chongqing. It is also the first rural pilot village of the "pro-nature" ecological garden co-construction program in Chongqing.

It is understood that the "Pro-nature" Ecological Garden Project is a public welfare project organized by Chongqing Greening Committee, the Propaganda Department of CPC Chongqing Party Committee, Chongqing Civilization Office, Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Municipal Forestry Bureau, and undertaken by the Forestry Bureau of Zhongxian County, which aims to awaken the vitality of the countryside through art and explore innovative ways for rural residents to practice ecological civilization in the context of rural revitalization.

During the event, villagers came out of their homes and worked with the volunteers to organize the open spaces and unused piles in front of their homes, transforming the unused corners into micro-ecological gardens. "The ecological garden was designed and built with full consideration of localness, taking local materials and choosing local varieties of flowers and trees. Movable flower beds, public artworks, and public facilities are made of environmentally friendly materials and recycled construction waste," said Liu Chunli, executive coordinator of the "Pro-nature" project.

It is reported that the "Pro-nature" ecological garden co-construction program will also build 50 to 100 ecological gardens throughout Chongqing in the next 5-10 years. Through the villagers' joint construction, the ecological gardens will be built as a successful sample for exploring rural revitalization and comprehensive innovation of grass-roots social governance model in Chongqing.
