CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Enjoyable reading, dreamy fairy tales. Chongqing Library's original parent-child reading promotion activity - “Green Fairy Tale Night” has become a grand reading event expected by Chongqing’s young readers every year.

This year, “Green Fairy Tale Night” season 6 will be held in Liangping District for the first time instead of Chongqing Library. This is the first regional cooperation of Chongqing Library’s national reading brand, which extends cultural services to the grassroots level, thus realizing the co-construction and sharing of the city’s public libraries, at the same time promoting tourism with culture. That is how Chongqing can advance the integrated development of the cultural tourism industry.

There were colorful lanterns and tents, crowned “princes” and “princesses”, forests, a starry sky, splendid costumes as well as three-dimensional picture books...

At 7:00 p.m. on July 9, Liangping children's library was transformed into a fantastic fairy tale kingdom where thousands of readers gathered together to share this parent-child reading feast. The “Green Fairy Tale Night" this year remained the layout of the ten classic theme venues in previous years, including rose castle, green theater, starry sky cinema, crystal stage, fence kingdom, fantasy garden, green fairy tale exhibition, three-dimensional picture book exhibition, green market and green night market. Through the complete restoration of fairy tale plots and characters, the event integrated ingredients including books, reading, music, performance and real experience, providing those parents and children with an immersive experience in this unique “library night”.
