CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The reporter of Chongqing Evening News is informed from the analysis meeting of the economic situation in the first half of 2022 held by Chongqing City Transportation Development & Investment Group Co., Ltd. in recent days that the improvement project of the street-crossing function at night of 17 CRT stations passages including Nanqiaosi Station and Daxigou Station Nanqiaosi Station has entered the process of construction in the first half of this year. In this year, there will be 36 passages of 27 CRT stations which will complete the improvement project of the street-crossing function at night. At that time, pedestrians can cross the street via passages in the out-of-service CRT stations at night.

27 stations to be equipped with street-crossing function at night

According to the introduction of relevant staff from Chongqing City Transportation Development & Investment Group Co., Ltd., after the urban rail transit train terminates at night, the CRT stations along the line will close in the past.

If citizens want to cross the street, they can not go through the passages in the station hall but make a detour. After the completion of the improvement of the street-crossing function at night in CRT stations, the problem will be solved.

The 27 CRT stations which are constructed for the improvement of the street-crossing function at night include Chongqing Library, Chongqing University, Honghu East Road, Dongbu Park, Sports Park, Yudai Mountain, Nanqiaosi and Minan Avenue on CRT Loop line, Daxigou and Zengjiayan on CRT Line 2, Huanshan Park, Central Park, and East Central Park on CRT Line 10, Gongmao on CRT Line 3, Toutang on CRT Line 4, Dashiba and Chongguang on CRT Line 5, Guangdianyuan, Hongtudi, Huangnibang, Zhuangyuanbei, Beibei, Jinshan Temple, and Lijia on CRT Line 6 and Gaoyikou, Happy Valley and Huangmaoping on CRT Internation Expo Center Branch Line.

The project will install roller shutter doors and pulled gates (including partition and handrail) and supplement surveillance videos for non-detection zone for the stations which need to be improved in order to equip the passages with nocturnal street-crossing function.

At present, the improvement project of the nocturnal street-crossing function of 17 CRT stations passages including Nanqiaosi Station and Daxigou Station Nanqiaosi Station has entered the process of construction and it is expected that all the 36 passages of 27 CRT stations will finish the function improvement project within this year.
