"At present, our 'integrated water and fertilizer' system has covered an area of 227mu of vegetables in the park. When watering, we just need to pour the fertilizer and water mixed together in proper proportion into the container, then the mixed fertilizer and water will be transported to the roots of crops in the field along the irrigation pipeline through remote automatic control or on-site manual control, which has greatly saved manpower." According to the staff of Yuxi Vegetable Research and Development Center in Bishan District, compared with the traditional irrigation and fertilization methods, this system will not only save more than 30% of the fertilizer consumption, but also save about 30% of the water consumption, so that the crops can "eat comfortably and drink to their hearts’ content".

Only the "integrated water and fertilizer" system is not enough. In Xiaoxiao Vegetable Plantation in Bishan District, the farmers have also turned on the automatic sprinkler irrigation system. "It has been hot every day in recent days. We spray water every morning and evening to ensure the water supply required for vegetable growth." The person in charge of Xiaoxiao Vegetable Plantation in Bishan District said that although the temperature has been high recently, because of the installation of sprinkler irrigation equipment, potatoes and water spinach in the base have not been greatly affected, and at least 1000 Jin of the vegetable can be provided per day for the market.
